Built for what an artist needs first
Prefer to read it? Here's what The Hive actually does, scene by scene.
A 3-hour slot just died. It already knows who should get it.
Tuesday, 12:40. Your 1 o'clock cancels. The Hive searches your full client history, the clients you've flagged as high priority, and every open multi-session project on your books. The client who's six hours into twelve hours of back piece gets offered the slot, the deposit's collected, and the chair is filled — while you're still tattooing.

A sleeve is a project, not "3 appointments every 3 weeks."
Set the piece up once, as a project. The Hive knows healing windows: about 30 days after a session it reaches out to book around week six, when the skin's ready. Money's tight and they say not yet? It doesn't hound them — it backs off: one week, two, four, eight, a little quieter each time, until they're back in rotation.
The piece stays alive. You never chase it.

No-shows get a second chance — on new terms.
First offense: a friendly, automatic rebook offer with a larger deposit, because they're a riskier client now. Do it again and it escalates — full prepay, or closed books. Every step is optional and set per artist.
And you never have to have the awkward conversation. The system plays bad cop. You stay the artist they love.

"But what does it look like healed?"
Everyone on Instagram asks. Almost nobody can answer, because nobody collects healed photos. The Hive asks your client for one at about four weeks and builds you a healed-work repository — IG-ready proof your work holds up.
Then the one-year mark becomes a natural touch: "Been a year — want to book something?"

It answers the phone. Only when you want it to.
Run it as a voicemail alternative, or have it pick up only while you're mid-flow, machine in hand — so a heads-down afternoon never costs you a client. The goofy routine questions get handled. Artwork and design questions always route to you. A machine never speaks for your art.

Card or bank. The bank rail is the cheap one.
Card is a flat 3.5%. Bank (ACH) is 1.8% capped at $10 — on a big piece you keep a lot more. Deposits are non-refundable and applied to the final session, automatically. The Hive chases the deposit so you're not doing it by text.

"Square is a payments platform first; anything else is an afterthought. This is built for what an artist needs first. If you have an issue, you have the phone number of the guy who writes the code. You want a feature — we build it together."
